After thorough cleansing and preparation, the injection points will be marked to ensure precise placement before the product is carefully injected into the target areas using an ultra-fine needle or cannula.
Once your treatment is complete, you’ll receive detailed guidance on aftercare to ensure a quick recovery. In total, you’ll be with us for around 90 minutes. Depending on which treatment you’ve gone for, you may see results straight away, or improvements over the following weeks. What we love about skin boosters is that the results are cumulative – your skin quality will continue to improve over the course of several treatments, and regular maintenance will enhance and prolong the results.

1. Does it hurt?
With topical numbing cream, most patients find skin booster treatments very tolerable. You’ll feel multiple small pinpricks as the product is injected, but the discomfort is brief and manageable. The sensation is often described as tiny stings or pinches. Some areas (like around the eyes for polynucleotides) can be slightly more sensitive. Many patients are surprised by how comfortable the treatment is. We use very fine needles and take care to ensure your comfort throughout.
2. How long does the treatment take?
The injection process itself takes 20-40 minutes depending on the product and treatment area. Including numbing time (20-30 minutes) and preparation, expect to be at the clinic for 60-90 minutes. Your first appointment will include a consultation. Most skin boosters require a series of treatments – for example, Profhilo requires 2 sessions 4 weeks apart, while NCTF or polynucleotides typically need 3-4 sessions spaced 2-3 weeks apart.
3. Can I go back to work after treatment?
Yes, most patients return to normal activities immediately or the next day. You’ll likely have some redness and possibly small bumps at injection sites for a few hours after treatment. There may be minor swelling for 24-48 hours. Bruising can occur but isn’t always present. Many patients schedule treatments during a lunch break or after work. If you have an important event, we recommend scheduling treatment at least 3-5 days in advance to allow any temporary effects to resolve.
4. When will I see results?
Results develop gradually and vary by treatment. With Profhilo, you may notice improved skin quality within 7-10 days after the first treatment, with optimal results 4 weeks after the second session. NCTF and mesotherapy provide an immediate glow, with results building progressively through your treatment course. Polynucleotides work more gradually, with optimal results appearing 2-3 months after completing your series. The gradual nature of results means you’ll look naturally refreshed rather than “done.”
